The World Needs More Movies About Hobos Ya Know?

While the overall reaction to Grindhouse was a mixed bag I’ve said on here before that I greatly enjoyed it. Of course one of the very best parts of the film were the fake movie trailer that were also involved with it.

While I have said before that Eli Roth needs to stop getting his feelings hurt over lovely horror bloggers and just hurry up and make Thanksgiving already, news broke out recently of not just one but TWO fake Grindhouse trailers that are on their way to us in full length form.

First up it’s the one everybody already knew about in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete starring none other than Danny Trejo. This movie will now be getting a theatrical release on September 3rd! Originally it was announced as a straight to DVD release but apparently someone must be having high hopes for this one.

The other, lesser known fake trailer being made into a full length is Hobo With a Shotgun. Jason Eisener begins production on the feature version of Hobo With A Shotgun very very soon and the word is the man playing the Hobo, who just so happens to have a shotgun, is none other than Rutger Hauer. I think it’s safe to say if the movie is anything like the trailer was it’ll be a keeper for sure.

If you didn’t know this already Hobo With a Shotgun won a Grindhouse fake trailer competition that allowed it to pop up in the Canadian prints of Grindhouse theatrically. It also made it’s way around a few festivals and was very favorable to the folks who saw it.

And if you have not seen the Grindhouse trailer for the film yet, here you fine folks go..
