Full Moon Grindhouse: Filmgore (1983)
Director: Ken Dixon
Where to get it: Full Moon Direct/Full Moon Horror

Part of the Full Moon “Grindhouse Collection” with the goriest scenes from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Snuff, 2000 Maniacs, Driller Killer, Blood Feast, and many more…Hosted by Elvira, Mistress of the Dark! Get your barf bag ready! Aided by her classic one-liners and abundant cleavage, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, takes us on a nostalgic 120-minute blood-soaked slash-fest, exploring some of the most violent, gore-spattered horror films ever made.

Film Gore is just that. It’s just a compilation from many horror films, some VERY famous, all rolled into one package with the very hot host, Elvira here as well. So don’t come into this one expecting a plot or anything of that nature. This is all about gore and that will be a good thing to anyone who is a big gore hound and loves the old school gore from yesteryear. One solid plus is there isn’t any CGI and that is always a good thing in my opinion. So, as odd as it may seem to enjoy something without a real plot, I actually got a kick from this film. And if you give it a shot, you may oddly like it as well.

Oddly enough, you might notice as this rolls along just showing the gore from some films that cutting everything but the gore out actually makes some of these old school films more watchable and enjoyable. Because let’s all be honest, some movies only have good parts when they are gory parts and the rest just slowed it down or were just bad. So in those rare cases, this film cuts the fat out. So YAY to Full Moon for that if nothing else. It’s not anything groundbreaking, but it’s still cool to see these films all bunched up in the same spot.
