If you are reading this I hope you are well aware that I am about to spoil who will die at the start of Scream 4… If you wish to keeping on reading from this point on it’s your own damn fault….
Over the years with the Scream franchise, who dies first almost became as important if not more important as who would end up being the killer. I remember when I was a little Chuck-o years ago being pretty shocked when Drew Barrymore got gutted like a fish in the opening of the original Scream in 1996. So when Scream 4 hits next month on April 15th, who is it that is going to die??
Most rumors going around were that someone big was going to die at the start. While the victims were commonly believed to be Kristin Bell and Anna Pacquin, we now KNOW that is not the case. And while many of you Kristin Bell fans might breath a sigh of relief that she won’t be murdered in a horrendous way THAT soon in the movie (I assure she will later), and might not care at all when I tell you who IS going to die, I can assure you one name that came out hit me like a dagger in my little tiny heart..Lucy Hale, of Pretty Little Liars fame, has revealed that she and Shenae Grimes will be the first to die at the start of Scream 4. Now I’ve never seen Pretty Little Liars, I have no clue who Lucy Hale is, but Shenae Grimes?? WHY GOD!!?? WHY!!??
Shenae Grimes is known to most (or mostly me) as Darcy Edwards from the Canadian hit teen show, Degrassi, which gave us such stars as rapper, Drake. “Darcy” in the show was a good ol’ Christian girl who kept strong to her beliefs and was my personal favorite member of the cast, to spite that little time period she was drugged and had her virginity stolen from her which turned her into a sex-craved whore for a little while before returning to her old ways once again. From there Shenae would leave the show and get a spot in the newer version of 90210, which I’m not hip enough to have actually seen myself. But none the less,…gah!
While this probably means nothing at all to you, and while I am very happy to hear we won’t be seeing any swerve with one of the Scream franchises’ core characters being nipped out the gate, I hate to see poor Shenae bite the bullet that soon in the movie. I mean come on, I knew she was going to die, I had already braced myself for this, I just didn’t think it would happen THAT soon in the film. I mean here we got a chick that could MAYBE give Katy Perry a run for her money on the “Chuck Conry Lust-a-meter”, never mind the fact she IS a great actress and this could have really given her a rub in the business, but it is what it is. Maybe she can still go on to great things after being killed in the start of the film.
