Starting around the year 1993, like I stated in my review of the Power Rangers film, my ten year old self would rush home from school to watch Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This would go on from ’93 to ’94 and so on and so forth. Sure, I loved the show. I even had the video game for my SEGA Game Gear that I beat the very first time I ever played it. But one has to think at that age it wasn’t the bad special effects and Rita Repulsa keeping me tuned it, it was The Pink Ranger..Kimberly!!
Kimberly Hart. who was played by Amy Jo Johnson, kept me tuned in. Now looking back on the show and her kicking all kinds of monster butt in pink short shirts and pink short shorts, it’s a no brainer! If I may risk giving you fine folks too much info, she probably even helped put me through puberty!! She was THAT hot!
Of course while she was easy on the eyes and just the perfect girl in every way possible. It would seem to appear as the show went on she had an eye for Tommy. Tommy of course was originally the evil Green Ranger before turning good and joining the team where he would later become the leader and then later a White Ranger. And this would slowly build up to Kimberly and him becoming obviously attracted to one another. We’ll just say that’s another thing he stole from Jason, The Red Ranger and original leader of the group.
But bad taste in men aside, my childhood would really like to thank The Ping Ranger for opening up my eyes and helping me into that next stage of being a young boy to a sex crazed teenager. And for the record, Amy Jo Johnson may be 40 now but she’s still rather hot.
