Only by collecting, training and dueling with little critters called SLUGS can Eli and his team hope to defeat the forces of evil. Did we mention the part where the slugs transform into powerful magical beasts? That part’s AWESOME!
Do you know the difference between a normal slug and a ghoul slug? Chances are even if you are grown it might be 50/50, but if you have a 10 year old in the house who watches Disney XD I bet even if you don’t they do. Slugterra takes us into the world of The Shane Gang and Eli Shane’s never ending quest to become the greatest Slugslinging hero of all time! And along the way the people behind this will also give kids great reasons to buy the toys and play the games that are connected to this. It is all aimed at those kids and there shouldn’t be any shock that it will be best fitted for kids, but isn’t a bad watch for 29 year olds like myself either if you really break it down.
First off the writing here isn’t too bad and even touches on clever here and there was we dip in and out of these five episodes. Also if you are a fan of animation you can appreciate that here as well. I mean I have seen better, but this is a TV show so you can’t get upset when we aren’t on an epic anime level. Like I said this aimed for kids and if you are one or have them you’ll be finding use for this disc. There is even some cool exclusives for those who are already into this. If you aren’t that into it already, this would be a good place to start if you wanted to become more invested in this slug concept.
