Holed up in a seedy hotel, Hollywood screenwriter Don Malek (Fright Night’s Stephen Geoffreys) is scripting a diabolical plan for revenge. But instead of writing about a bloodthirsty serial killer, Don is doing the dirty work with his own hands. Tiffany Shepis (Cyrus) and Corey Haim (The Lost Boys) also star in this gritty, jolting thriller where no one is safe…and checkout time is sooner than you think.
Well, we got a movie here that features some well-known faces to the world of horror. We got Evil Ed himself, we got Tiffany Shepis, and we have Corey Haim. Haim isn’t here much, but the majority of things follow the relationship between the writer played by Stephen Geoffreys and his agent played by Shepis. There is a lot interaction between them as Stephen’s character goes deeper and deeper into madness. I’d like to say it is highly entertaining, but it does seem to drag out as things roll along and comes across as a rehash of stuff already done before.
I do think Tiffany Shepis gives a good performance. This shows that she has moved way passed just being eye candy in horror films. The woman can act and I think this proves it. I just wish she had more to work with here than she gets stuck with. I just don’t think you will take much away from this film that will remain memorable the next day or in the next hour or so after seeing it.
