Dead Body Man (2004)
Directed By: Ryan Cavalline
Starring: Eddie Benevich, Peter Blessel, Desiree

Willie seems normal to most people, but he works to hide a terrible secret. Beneath the average-Joe facade, Willie believes himself to be God’s messenger, sent to earth to punish wrongdoers by brutally murdering and sometimes eating them. Taking out his twisted fury on anyone he deems unholy (mainly prostitutes), Willie gets his kicks by torturing his victims with power drills and the like. Thankfully, in time, Willie is driven mad enough by his own wicked ways that he decides to go after a much more deserving victim–himself.

This shot on video film might have a good plot, but the results could have been better. I don’t at all dislike shot on video movies. I think the concept of this one is really cool and very much in the vein of Frank Henenlotter. The movie even manages a few good gore moments. The thing is, this one just drags on for much too long and it drags very badly. Dead Body Man needs a good 15 or more minutes cut. As it is, it is about unbearable to a point.

Dead Body Man 2 (2007)
Directed By: Ryan Cavalline
Starring: Eddie Benevich

This sequel to 2004′s DEAD BODY MAN again follows the murderous activities of Willie, an average Joe who believes himself to be God’s messenger, sent to earth to punish wrongdoers by brutally murdering and sometimes eating them. At the beginning of the movie Willie believes he has put the past behind him, but it’s not long before his insatiable lust for bloodletting is back.

Much of the same as what we got with the original film. You can see a few improvements along the lines of how things are done and the way the movie is shot. Still, the movie needs more than what we get, as I don’t see why we needed a sequel to the original movie to start with. There are still some nice gore and they manage to have a couple funny moments, but it is otherwise forgetable.

Dead Bodyman Chronicles (2008)
Directed By: Ryan Cavalline
Starring: Eddie Benevich

Here we have yet another sequel to 2004′s DEAD BODY MAN. This time a crazy grandpa sits his grandson down to tell the history of what lead to Willie becoming the Dead Body Man! This conclusion to the trilogy is just as wild as the original two and is a nice look at the character’s origin.

Did we need a third Dead Body Man movie? None the less, they at least tried something very new here with this entry into the series. The thing here is, the film has once again took it up its self to run on for far too long, this time clocking in at nearly two hours with this back-story that is more wacky than scary. If you had to watch a Dead Body Man movie this would be the one, but you still won’t end up with much as Willie was never THAT interesting.

Aspiring Psychopath (2008)
Directed By: Ryan Cavalline
Starring: Danielle Donahue, Joel D. Wynkoop, M. Catherine Holseybrook Wynkoop

All Lucinda wanted to do was learn how to kill like a serial killer. Day by day she would watch other killers and their daily routines. She studied how they picked their victims, how they tortured them, and how they killed them. Lucinda has learned all that she needs to know and is ready to go out on her own but, before she can start her own killing spree, she must take out the teacher she learned from.

This film here is a slow starter of the gate. Hell, it may never really get going that well, but after three Dead Body Man films you will be extremely happy to at least see something different. Our female lead plays her part very well and it helps a lot. The gore is pretty darn good as well for the budget. You can sense a small dash of Natural Born Killers here, but the keyword would be small dash. Still, the film is the best thing on this set and you should have an alright time due to the plot, acting, and blood.
