While the film in question here does at times become extremely hard to watch due to its content, Hate Crime, is also a crowning achievement for independent horror. We have seen home invasion films before and this one ranks right up there in the envelope pushing department and goes above and beyond to give us three evil villains that are just as memorable as they are hate-able. When the films is over it will stick with you and the people that crash this poor family’s birthday party will stick with you as well.

Of course when you take things to this level you are going to have trouble finding people who can actually stomach what is going down here. They’re won’t be a lot of people who will be able to make it through this movie. That isn’t a dis at the movie, it just isn’t the type of movie a couple will want to gather around and eat pop-corn while watching. If you can take the content it is an experience to see. While it is hard movie to watch, it is also a very well-made movie and uses the sources handy to complete a nerve wrecking experience.
