IBS is the story of Larry; the lovable loser who can’t get over his intense irritable bowel syndrome. Larry has tried every possible solution to his problem but nothing works until one day a workplace mishap helps him discover that murder cures what ails him. See a man desperate for a normal life shoot, stab, chainsaw, maim and mutilate his way to happiness.
IBS sounds like something you’d see from Troma and I can see people who enjoy the more off the wall aspect of Troma really sinking their teeth into it. We have a crazy story of a man who’s IBS only gets better if he kills someone. So, naturally he decides that if it helps he might as well go with it and just kill everyone he can. The movie really takes a little time to grow as we go from our leads office to a much more wide open range and then kills get wilder as we go along too. By the time the movie kicks in high gear you do find yourself really liking what you see.
This is a film with a lower budget, but if you look away from the cheaper aspects of things you find yourself having a good time and that is really all that matters when dealing with a horror film that deals with IBS. This might also make it official that we have a horror film for pretty much everything you can think of now. The blood and other bodily fluids do fly and it more funny than scarey, but that isn’t a bad thing in my book when it comes to something like this.
