Let’s Take A Look ar Wax-Eye’s Cereal Killers Series 2!

Not long ago I was given the great opportunity to get a look at Wax-Eye’s Cereal Killer Trading Cards, which for those of you who don’t know are parodies of cereals with a horror twist. Series 1 gave us cards that features such favorites as Halloween, Friday the 13th, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. All of these were done by the hand of artist Joe Simko, who is one of the best around. Well today a pot of gold arrived in my mail box, both a Hobby Box and a Mini Cereal Box of series 2.

Series 2 gives us even more fun the way of horror inspired cereal brands. We have newer movies such a Splice and Paranormal Activity on display, as well as modern cult classic such as Donnie Darko and classics such as The Creature from the Black Lagoon, all done with a cereal twist.

The cereal boxes of the basic cards come with gun and two inserted cards, while the hobby box of the sticker cards seems to go more the route of classic card collecting with the insert cards being random as comes with tradition. Regardless a hobby box comes with 24 packs/8 cards per pack, also the complete 55 base set is a guarantee. The mini cereal boxes come with 20 cards per mini box (3 boxes all together), you’ll probably end up with more of the special cards, but the set isn’t promised here. I guess you’ll just have to buy more…which is soo worth it.

Also, if you’d like to just get your feet wet and not dive all in, you can get 8 card sticker packs for just $2 each with free shipping. I’d said it before and I’ll say it again, as a horror fan and card collector, these things are right down my ally. Be sure you get over to WAX-EYE and pick up some of these for yourself and check out some of the card examples below.
