30 years ago yesterday, on November 16th 1984 Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street was released to the world. A movie that would go on to be one of the most loved, praised, and iconic horror films of all-time. It would also give birth to the film’s slasher, Freddy Krueger.
Now Freddy didn’t have his comedic timing down to a tee yet in the original film and truth be told it is one of the most frightening horror films you could imagine with little in the way of comedy, that part of A Nightmare on Elm Street came later. In honor of this great film, NECA, have given up a 30th Anniversary Freddy Figure. Let us just admire the packing for a bit, as I did once it arrived.
Freddy stands at 7 inches tall and has moveable legs and arms. He also bends at the elbows and the wrist. He comes with an extra hand, an extra head, as well as other props to re-live the iconic moments from the movie.
Like that one phone call he makes to Nancy…
