In this very special wedding episode, John Luke Robertson is getting married to his fiancée, Mary Kate, and our cameras are with him every step of the way. From wedding planning and dress shopping to the rehearsal dinner and the big wedding day, it’s a joyous time for the Robertson family as guests from all over the world come to bear witness on this momentous occasion.

Well, if you weren’t aware, Duck Dynasty is still a thing. The show isn’t as popular with the masses as it once was, which I guess is why they no longer take up a good chunk of the space at the local Wal-Mart, but it still has its fans. Thus why they are still releasing DVD specials like this. And in this DVD special it is the entire wedding of John Luke Robertson. He’s the one Robertson that doesn’t have a beard yet and we go through all the weird and wacky (probably a bit staged) moments, as the family plans the wedding. We’re dress shopping, we’re looking to Willie for help with the vows, we’re watching Si be Si, which included a lot of tea drinking. Basically, you get everything you always get with an episode of Duck Dynasty, only longer and more drawn out. And of course, we close things by watching the family eat around the wedding dinner table. Nothing you haven’t seen before from the family as far as normal shenanigans go, but not the worst way to spend 80 or so minutes either.

The wedding of John Luke and Mary Kate was made a big deal and well, most wedding usually are, but they don’t get their own DVD set for the whole thing. If you are a fan f this show, then I’m sure you’ll love it for being just what it is. Anyone who doesn’t like the show, then you’ll want to avoid this as if it were the black plague its self! Now I don’t hate the show, nor do I go out of my way to watch it, but this was alright for what it is. If it isn’t enough for you (and you somehow want more), then you get the bonus episode in the extras of Phil and Kay Robertson renewing their vows. I can already see this release flying off the racks at my local stores, but then again I live in Tennessee.
