So that we are clear here, you guys know what a “bumper” is right? That the little company thing that plays before a movie, that would be the intro, or in other words the bumper. So, I have compiled my own little personal list of those things. A list that contains my favorites due to mostly nostalgia, but some on pure style alone. Of course, since we are dealing with a lot of names and logos here, I expect videos listed below to be pulled at any time. And if that happens I just want to make it clear that I do NOT own any of the names or rights to them, this is pure entertainment and educational purposes here. And if a video is no longer up, search on The ol’ Youtube.
With that said, here’s my list of Top 10 Movie Studio/Production Company Bumpers!
10: Troma

How many low budget gems have we seen kick off with this intro? The gritty and low budget look of this intro/bumper shows you all you need to know about Troma.
09: Original New Line Cinema
I know a lot of you may be more familiar with the more current version of the New Line intro, but let me tell you this one packs a lot of memories. We can thank Freddy and A Nightmare on Elm Street for making this one so memorable.
08: Miramax Films
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TIhQyg27_4
I’ve always loved Miramax, they did have their name on Pulp Fiction and all the good Kevin Smith movies. But as of late, this intro right here has been on the intro of all the new Echo Bridge releases of the older Miramax films. If you’ve not seen this intro in HD, then you should for sure check it out. It’s beautiful.
07: MGM studios
Oh, the ol’ trusty Lion and it’s roar! There have been many different versions of this lion, so I think pretty much any of them would do here.
06: Full Moon Entertainment
It feels like I saw this intro a million times when I was growing up. I became so use to seeing it every weekend that I somewhat felt bad when they finally updated it not too long ago.
05: Anchor Bay Entertainment
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPeL3nO-hSE
Anchor Bay has adapted a newer HD logo since becoming apart of STARZ, but this is the one I will always remember. Seeing it before such films as Dawn of the Dead, Re-Animator, Silent Night, Deadly Night, and many more, is why I will always have a soft spot for Anchor Bay.
04: Universal Pictures 1937-1946
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aop_7Q3PoW0
It’s no secret that I’m not much of an old school movie fan. Stuff in the early 60′s can be a hard watch for me, so you know I don’t care for much of anything from 1937 to 1946. However, who could argue with this pick? I mean just look at it! It’s pure class.
03: HBO ’87
This HBO intro reminds me of the time back in the day when I pretty much watched Die Hard for five nights straight! There were several different HBO intro from different periods I could have went with. But this is the one with the most nostalgia for me.
02: Grindhouse Releasing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjmJxZqDPjM
You know this pops up before many a great grindhouse films and it was only right that it became the official intro for Grindhouse Releasing. You just knew that when you saw this you were about to watch something that would just make you feel dirty. And usually, that is JUST what you got.
01: Tri-Star Pictures
When you were a kid and you saw this, it was just magical. It gave you chills, gave you a great feeling, and it still does that very same thing this very day to me. I mean come on, it’s a f’n Pegasus!!!
