I’ve always been a fan of just about anything Alan Moore has ever done. That being the case, I’m not sure why I’m just now getting to this movie. Even if the plot changes from chaos to freedom in this film it is still a very well-made and well-done film. The characters are very memorable, the dialogue is very good, and when there is action there is plenty of cool moments. I also think the look of the character “V” stands out and is one of the more memorable characters to be brought on the big screen in the first decade of the 2000s. If you loved the comic books I think you will love the film, even if they did change a thing or two here and there.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bad performance from Natalie Portman and she does a great job here. Her character transforms from the start to the finish of the movie and she adapts and pulls it off flawlessly. The movie runs right at the two hour mark and I don’t believe that bothers me here because I don’t recall anything ever dragging along the way. That is hard to do, but this movie does it and does it well. I don’t think I’d place this above other works of Moore like The Watchment, but I do think this is a whole lot of fun and a very well done film overall.
