It’s WRESTLEMANIA day!! Last year I didn’t make a predictions post because I wasn’t really that excited about it. I pretty much knew John Cena was getting his win back and on The Rock and the rest wasn’t that impressive. This year we have Hulk Hogan back to host. We apparently have The Rock flown in so who knows if he’ll pop up. Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels will be there. We also have rumors of Sting and CM Punk being around for tonight. Do I want to see Sting? I sure do. As far as CM Punk goes, I kind of hope he stays gone. Why walk out and just walk back into the big payday right? WWE seems to throw us some curve balls at Mania so I’m sure I won’t be 100% right with my predictions. Still, I’m going to give it my best!
Pre-Show
The Usos vs. Real Americans vs. Los Matadores vs. Rybaxel
(Tag Team Championships Fatal 4-Way)
I’m bummed this match got bumped to the pre-show, but I guess we got some stuff going on that will take up a good chunk of time. The Usos are an actual real tag team that are over, Real Americans are heading for a split. Rybaxel is just there. Lost Matadores aren’t THAT over. So, I think it’s pretty easy to tell who wins this one.
WINNERS: THE USOS
WRESTLEMANIA 30
Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational
(Divas Championship)
This is probably going to be an A class mess. If we’re lucky it’s a fun train-wreck, but I don’t give enough credit to most the women that will be in the ring. There should be a lot of faces winning, so I think a heel has to win something. Plus, AJ deserves better so I’ll hope they toss her a bone here.
WINNER: AJ LEE
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Well we don’t really have a full list of who the heck is in this darn thing. I’m sure a legend could pop up and fill some of the last spots, but I don’t think they’ll win unless they stick around since the winner is suppose to have the Andre trophy all year long with him until next year. Hulk Hogan DOES appear to be sticking around and he could pull a shocker on us here by entering and winning. The thing is they do have a big (and so far boring) guy that they might want to try to push quick.
WINNER: ALEXANDER RUSEV
The Shield vs. Kane & New Age Outlaws
(Six-Man Tag)
I hear this is the opener. I also hear that The Shield is breaking up. Now this makes things a bit tricky because them splitting would be a big story for Mania. However, do we want that to happen during the opening? Regardless, I don’t expect it to be that long, but it should be fun!
WINNERS: THE SHIELD
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt
This is putting Wyatt on the map here, folks. It has a great build and Cena seems to be there to try to help make a new star. This should be a whole lot of fun, but Cena and Wyatt both have nothing to gain from Cena winning. Unless they twist it around to where Cena’s “Legacy” is tainted because Cena ends up doing some pretty dirty things to beat the monster that is Bray. I just don’t see it going down like that.
WINNER: BRAY WYATT
The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar
These streak matches are always better when you actually aren’t sure if Taker will win or not. I didn’t think CM Punk was winning for a single minute last year and I’m afraid I don’t think Brock Lesnar has a chance in hell this year. Look for Taker to kick out of an F5 or two and Brock to kick out of a Tombstone or two, but the end result is simple. The biggest question is if Sting shows up after or not.
WINNER: THE UNDERTAKER
Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H
(Winner added to main event)
These last two matches are a bit tricky. I’m pretty sure I know the end result, but how we are going to get to that result is the hard thing to figure out. They say this match comes right before the main event, meaning that it would make sense for Bryan to get screwed and then have host Hulk Hogan toss him in the main event anyway. The right thing, however, is for Bryan to win. What happens here is tricky, but I’ll give Bryan the credit here unless he loses to set up a match between the two at the next ppv.
WINNER: DANIEL BRYAN
Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan/Triple H
(Triple Threat WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
It doesn’t matter if Bryan or Triple H win because both will probably end up in the main event regardless. Either Bryan wins and gets beat down so Trips tosses himself in and Bryan comes back. Or Hunter cheats to win and Bryan still gets put in the match. Now they could really toss us a curve here and have Batista or Orton win regardless, but this is the 30th WrestleMania and we really don’t need a bad ending.
WINNER: DANIEL BRYAN
