Are You A Bad Enough Dude, Dude?

Bad Dudes Vs. DragonNinja aka Bad Dudes to most of us Nintendo fans aka DragonNinja to our friends in Japan was another arcade fighting game like Final Fight or Double Dragon that hit in the late 80′s (1988). Only this time around I was actually more familiar with the NES version than I was the arcade, because honestly I never played this game once at the arcade. If the name alone isn’t enough to get you motivated to play this game maybe this will…

Are you hyped up yet??? Most kids back in the day were ready to take on the world once they saw that at the start of the game. The only trouble was, the game was really freakin’ hard! I don’t think I ever got passed level 3, maybe that shows how hard it was, or maybe I just sucked?

No matter the case, you had to fight a gang of Japanese Ninja who kidnapped Ronald Reagan (or President Ronnie as the game called him), and if you save the man, depending on what system you used, you either get to eat burgers with him in front of the white house or you get a statue of yourself gave to you by him.

Now while this game has gained a cult following, and the fact that it was extremely hard was even brought up in the 1989 movie Parenthood, as far as I know the game never got a sequel!? Which I find odd since everything got sequels in the world of video games. Maybe the company Data East lost some sorta rights? Maybe they felt it would be better left alone as a stand along game? Either way, I’d love a modern version of it. Hell, I’d love to see Double Dragon, Final Fight, and this made into movies…But maybe I’m wishing for too much?
