Chuck Conry may not be “down” with the Harry Potter, but I’m team Wizard all the way. I couldn’t let the “Halloween Hoopla” pass with out working some Potter innuendo into the mix. Plus, what’s not perfect about a hot, spicy, and apple flavored drink to warm you or your party guests up this time of year.

The Goblet of Cider

Ingredients:

-2 Quarts Apple Cider

-1/4 Cup Sugar

-10 Whole Cloves

-6 Whole Allspice

-4 Cinnamon Sticks
-A Pinch of Cayenne Pepper

Directions:Combine ingredients in a large saucepan. Heat slowly to a boil; boil for 5 minutes. Discard spices or strain to remove. Serve hot with orange slices or a little whiskey, if desired. This combo serves 8 so it’s great for a large group with out to much effort.
