Zombie Babies (2011)
Director: Eamon Hardiman
Where to get it: Alternative Cinema

When a local entrepreneur advertises a new, painless late-term abortion method, a group of couples flock to his hotel to take advantage. During their weekend retreat, a freak accident re-animates the fetuses, filling them with a desire for vengeance and a taste for human flesh. With shocking scenes of decapitation by umbilical cord and suffocation by defecation, Zombie Babies has something to offend everyone.

This is the very first film by Eamon Hardiman I’ve seen that wasn’t a Porkchop film. It’s a bit of a mixed bag as it has some very good and very bad elements to it. The film its self depends a lot on green screen effects. That goes about as smoothly as you’d expect with a film of this budget. You can give everyone involved an A for effort, but it still is a little distracting at times. But on the bright side of things we do have good acting, characters, and an interesting plot. But the film does seem to run a little long for its own good.

There were also a few awkward editing flaws this film had, but if you don’t care about that stuff you won’t mind. I did really like our zombie babies and some of the other weird creatures that pop up. Plus, you can’t argue with some gross-out gore and looking at Kaylee Williams for about an hour and a half. I wouldn’t say that this is a film that is as good as either of the Porkchop films I have seen, but it’s watchable and does pack some legit laughing out loud moments. I think it fails to be anything too special yet it’s still well worth a watch.
