For anyone who miss the old school days of horror this is a movie for you. Here we get a slasher that is shot in the spirit of the 80s and more or less pulls off the 80s vibe with the film’s look and style. The movie is way more creative than just a once over will show. There are moments that you could brush off as just bad editing, but once the final shoe drops at the end you realize just how smart the film is, even if you can at moments guess where it might all be going. It also helps that it is funny without being too funny, an area that many lower budget horror films fail.

If we could complain about anything with this one it might be that we don’t get the gore we are expecting to get from a film titled Blood Junkie. I wish we had more gore and some old school effects to go with the tone and environment of the film. I think that is all we are missing from having a modern day classic on our hands. Instead, we end up with a very cool little flick that will be well worth you checking out. It isn’t a classic, but it is VERY good for what it is.
