Creepshow, the new anthology series based on the 1982 horror-comedy classic, is still the most fun you’ll ever have being scared! A comic book comes to life in a series of vignettes. Each explores terrors ranging from murder, creatures, monsters, and delusions to the supernatural and unexplainable. You never know what will be on the next page…

This season of Creepshow from Shudder only gave us 5 normal episodes and two bonus episodes. That being the case, what it gave us was still a fun and oftentimes bloody watch. We have a cast of stars any horror fan will love to see and as an added suprise we even have episodes connecting to other horror classics. If anything else this season seemed like a fan service even if a few episodes might have ultimately missed the mark. If I was to have one real complaint about this show it would be that oftentimes it comes across more like a Tales from the Crypt type thing rather than a branch of Creepshow. I think Creepshow works better as a movie, but what is the point of really bringing that up now? You get some good stuff here (and some not so much) but it’s fun and that’s really all that matters.

The release its self is actully pretty cool as well. You get a reversible cover, you get a booklet, and you get a nice slipcase to go with it all. Outside of the bonus two episodes I told you about above in the extras, you also get behind the scenes stuff, raw footage, and more stuff from Wondercon at home. I would say this season was a small step back from the first season but it’s still solid stuff and I love seeing the name Creepshow carry on even if it isn’t in the form of an anthology movie anymore. You should find some stuff worth seeing here if you pick this up.
