plot

Six months after a deadly outbreak that has all but ended the human race, a man and woman have survived by isolating themselves in a remote cabin and never opening the door. Now, they don’t have a choice. Starved for resources, they must confront the horrors that threaten them…but what’s inside may be even more toxic than what remains outside. Starring Amy Cale Peterson (Southbounders) and Dean Chekvala (True Blood, People Like Us).

Here we have a drama with some horror added into it for good measure. And, that isn’t at bad thing really, because with all the zombie type films you see these days, you need to have something new to bring to the table and this movie does that more or less. That of course still remains to be seen if it is for the best, because that depends on how much of one or the other you will want. Do you want more drama or more horror in a film like this? Depending on your answer might depend on if you get that much out of this or not. I myself would have liked a little more true horror, but I could just be picky.

There is some very good acting in this, which is at times hard to come by in the indie range. If you want to see good acting to hold the fort down, then you have came to the right place. I’m not sure if I’d say this one has all that much in the way of re-watch value, but I would say it is fine and dandy for a once over. The story is interesting enough, it does have SOME horror traits you can appreciate, but go into it thinking you will have more than just a horror styled drama on your hands.
