plot

PMS COP follows the story of police officer Mary Collins, who is informed by her commanding officer that she needs counseling, after being caught on camera brutally beating a clown rapist. Her therapist quickly concludes that she suffers from extreme PMS and enrolls her in a drug trial for the new menstrual wonder drug Corybantic. Mary responds positively until a devastating incident throws her into a monstrous drug-induced killing frenzy. Soon everyone who comes into contact with the PMS cop realizes it IS her time of the month.

howsthemovie

Okay, I can say that PMS Cop is fun. It has a fun plot, a fun name, and a very good leading lady. Is the film fun enough? Well, that is another story. The film sets its self up for you to go in with great expectations based on the name and the cool cover. I don’t know if it full lives up to those expectations, but the movie is still not a waste of time and has fun moments and some blood to boot. It is a perfectly harmless film, I just can’t help but feel something was missing from it overall that I can’t seem to place my finger on. Maybe it is the bad guys, maybe it is the comic book feel to some of it, but something did seem off at times.

That, however, isn’t to say that you should not watch it. As a matter of fact I’d say check it out, because you might not feel the way I do about it. A movie called PMS Cop needs watched and I’m sure the audience for it will be found. If for nothing else Cindy Mean, who I think might be the best part of the film overall. There is violence and it has a campy feel, that might be enough for most, but don’t feel too bad if you still feel it needs at least something more.
