I’m a little hit on some Pete Walker films, but I think when he does horror he does it well and that is when his stuff is at it’s most enjoyable. You get a neat plot here that leaves the door open for gore and gore is always a very good thing. There is many doors we see opened by the plot and it is fun trying to see which way the plot goes as things progress. I wish we had gotten to some points a lot quicker, but it isn’t bad overall for what you get and the blood makes it enjoyable regardless.

The film also looks really well for the year, with outside in the day shots looking the best. The movie will impress many in some spots and in darker spots leave a little lacking due to detail being a bit lost. Overall, Frightmare has a cool factor to it. It also has about two likable characters and a bunch of not so nice ones we hope for the demise of. Overall, I think it was good enough and I think if you like old school horror you will like this.
