Sandy (Emily Haack) has stumbled onto a lair of torture and humiliation. She was abducted and brought to this pit of pain as the next intended victim. But Sandy overthrows her captor and kills him. Does she release the other prisoners? Does she call the police? No. Her mind snaps and she assumes control over the prisoners, taking them as her own playtoys. Naked bodies writhe in ecstasy. Blood and gore spill forth. This is a chilling tale of madness and revenge that pushes the envelope… and dares to go where other exploitation/horror films won?t! I SPIT ON YOUR CORPSE, I PISS ON YOUR GRAVE is a swirl of insanity, a carnival of carnage, a festival of filth, and an onslaught of sleaze!

howsthemovie

This is a film that was trying very hard to be for the 2000s what stuff like I Spit on Your Grave and Last House on the Left was for the 1970s. The bad thing about is, by this time we had seen pretty much every trick in the book and this movie just repeats what we’ve already seen instead of bringing anything new to the table. The plot seems to lack sense or at least common sense. And, I’d also say that acting in more than a few roles (not counting the lead) does lack a bit. At times, this movie is hard to watch, but unfortunately it isn’t for the reasons you’d like for it to be.

To the film’s credit it does give us gore and they do attempt to push that envelope that so many films have tried to push before. It is sleazy, it is bloody, and while nothing new the film is also disturbing. However, the film just isn’t that good and that is what counts at the end of the day. I’m sure over the years since the release this movie has found a home in being a cult film for a newer generation. I just think we have a lot of potental and not enough reward.
