A word. What is the pervert? Sex freak, deranged degenerate, disturbed diabolical psychotic subversive embracer of things both erotic and erratic. What is to pervert? The twist of an object, phrase or ideal in such a way it was never intended or even imagined. Who is the pervert? Why, that’s another story altogether… A young man comes to spend the summer at the remote desert ranch of his father in hopes of repairing their estranged relationship only to find that he’s become a psychotic madman. But who is responsible for the bizarre murders James has uncovered? Hezekiah pins the blame on his son, and after a series of unexplainable incidents, James begins to doubt his own suspicions. Little does he know that the real killer lurks just under his nose!
So bad it’s good. That is about the best way I know to put it when it comes to this film. Starring (for the most part) Mary Carey, this film has some of the wildest things going on in it you can find. It also packs tons of nudity and for most that is simply all it needs. Not that we have that much trouble seeing Mary Carey naked, but work with me here. Say what you will about her and she isn’t actually the main star of the film, but when she isn’t on the screen the movie doesn’t seem to be as good.
If you are a big fan of some of the films by Frank Henenlotter, then I’m sure you will love what you see on the screen here. This is a horror film at heart, even if the horror isn’t really the focus of the film. This isn’t a movie that will win any quality awards, no one can ever say that about it. Yet, I feel the movie does what it does well and it does entertain from the “out of the left field” standpoint overall.
