Kara, devastated by the loss of Krypton, struggles to adjust to her new life on Earth. Superman mentors her. Meanwhile, she must contend with a mysterious group called the Dark Circle who searches for a powerful weapon held in the Academy’s vault.
Legion of Super-Heroes is a 2023 animated superhero film that takes us into the world of the DC Comics universe. The film centers around the character of Supergirl as she joins forces with the Legion of Superheroes to stop a sinister threat to the galaxy. The film’s look an animation are top-notch and bring the futuristic world of the Legion of Superheroes to life in stunning detail here in 4K. The action sequences are thrilling and intense and it makes good use of some characters that other platforms might not use as well. I like a good Brainiac related comic book adventure as good as the next nerd and this one fits that area really well.
The film’s story is engaging and well-crafted, weaving together elements of action, adventure, and drama to create a compelling narrative. It also does a great job of exploring the themes of heroism and the power of teamwork, making for an uplifting and inspiring movie-going experience. Some of these DC animated movies are great and some, not so much. This one is a good mix of what I feel makes for a fun comic book story and I think it is well worth everyone checking out. In conclusion Legion of Superheroes is a solid DC animated film for fans of the DC Comics universe and fans of superhero films in general. With its thrilling action sequences, engaging story, and talented voice cast, this film is sure to tickle that comic book itch you might have waiting on more DC movies of the more live-action variety.
