Solitary and alone, left by his girlfriend, after being treated badly by her, a young man finds a female body in the woods. His conscience tells him to call the police, but something inside him, something evil commands him to take the corpse with him and satisfy his darkest desires. His Life is total pieces of trash and only the love to the female corpse gives him the power to continue his life. But he hasn’t finished with his girlfriend yet and so he decides that it’s time to get his revenge once and for all. Who will be the winner in this love triangle? The man, the woman or the corpse?
Have you seen that movie Nekromaniak? I’m sure if you are reading this site you have at least heard of it. It was released on Blu-ray recently. You know who else has heard of Nekromaniak? The director of Necrophile Passion, Tom Heidenberg. What you get with this movie is a remix of Nekromantik, only done with a lower budget, micromanaged, and has some Lars von Trier sprinkled on top. What you see here would perhaps be shocking and distributing had you not seen Nekromantik before going into seeing it. Sadly, this story of boy finds dead girl, boy has sex with dead girl feels awfully rehashed and done before to anyone familiar with what inspired it. How do I know for sure that it inspired it besides the similar plot? Well, there is the fact that the director pretty much copies shots from that film as well. Paying tribute is never a bad thing, but how would one feel if I tossed a hockey mask on someone in a movie and had that person kill people at a lack? How would one feel if I had someone pop out the water and take someone into the water at the end? That is what we’re dealing with here.
The movie clocking in at barely under an hour takes the chapter format to show us the history behind our lead and his obsession with sleeping with corpses. I’m not sure you will take much from that, but the director takes ever chance he can get to be artsy, including a closeup that perhaps goes a bit too long as his lead musters up a tear from his eye. I know it sounds like I’m speaking badly of what happens in this movie, but honestly it is a bit entertaining for what its worth. They don’t make films like this everyday and that could perhaps be for a reason, but if you want something that could be lumped in with Nekromantik then this is for you.
