Ace, a rockabilly fan who really wants to be cool, is on his way to see his favorite rock group, Guitar Wolf, when a strange thing occurs… aliens invade the earth and people start returning to life as flesh-eating zombies! Enlisting the help of the (real life) Japanese rock/punk band Guitar Wolf, Ace and the members of the band get entangled in many misadventures with crazy rock managers in very tight shorts, transsexuals, naked women shooting guns in the shower and blood-thirsty zombies ready to tear them apart!
If you love Asian movies, zombie movies, and rock-n-roll, you can’t have anything, but a great time watching the wild and crazy Wild Zero! It is about rock, it is about equality, and probably about a zillion other weird things. The movie has fire shooting out of a lot of random things and a whole lot of zombie heads being blown off. It also packs other stuff, but I can’t share that due to the fact it would spoil some of it and this is a movie you won’t want spoiled.
If anything, this is a movie that could use some minor nips on the running time due to some scenes seeming to just slightly drag. That, however, won’t stop any of you from having a really fun time out of Wild Zero. If I did make a list of Asian zombie movies I enjoyed the most I am more than sure this one would be on that list and if you see it you will see why. Plenty of gore and plenty of fun here.
