I’m going to be brutally honest with you guys about this one, because I don’t think you will be getting many reviewers who see through what you get in a film like Sharknado 2. Sharknado is a mess in just about every sense of the word. I’d call it a bad movie, but calling it a bad movie would sell short other bad movies out there, because they at least were a bad movie after trying. There was no trying in Sharknado 2. What you get here is a movie that tosses the more random thing it can at you and just tries to lead you up to the next cameo instead of the next plot point. It is a mindless film made for only the most mindless of person and apparently I am in the minority with this sort of thing because Syfy and Asylum has made a lot more money off a half-arse made movie like this than I’ll ever see in my life and kudos to them for being able to do so, but sitting through a film like this isn’t an easy task at all. And I don’t think I’ll be chomping at the bit to see a third Sharknado, even though we KNOW they’ll be one and probably a four and so on and so forth.

If you are like me and you loath CGI with the fire of a thousands suns, you will do good to get fifteen minutes into this thing without your eyes popping out of your head with frustration. They don’t even attempt to make it better because they must think the worse it looks adds to the appeal. This is a Syfy/Asylum team-up to the 100th power and that for me isn’t at all what I call a good time and I find watching a film like this about as fun as having an in-grown toenail removed. So, the movie is probably the worst thing I’ve seen this year, but if you are into pointless CGI, pointless cameos, and a lack of plot, here you go! I will say if you are for some reason into this sort of thing you at least get lots of extras and a very good transfer that looks awesome, even if the movie is far from awesome.
